Briefly introduce: What are the technical points of installing environmental protection stainless steel ventilation pipes in hardware stamping plant?

The core of environmental protection stainless steel ventilation pipe construction in hardware stamping plant is to ensure the sealing, leakproofness, corrosion resistance and durability, and at the same time meet the demand of waste gas/dust emission in the workshop.

1. Selection of pipes and fittings

Choose 304 or 316L stainless steel pipe, and the thickness shall be matched according to the size of air duct (1.0-1.2mm for diameter ≤500mm, and 1.2-1.5mm for diameter > 500mm).

Fittings (elbows, flanges, tees) should be made of the same material as the pipe to avoid corrosion caused by contact of dissimilar metals.

2. Pipe processing and connection

The cutting adopts plasma or laser cutting, and the incision is smooth and burr-free, so as to avoid affecting the seal and air flow.

Welding (argon arc welding) is preferred for connection, and the weld seam should be full and free of pores and cracks. After welding, the welding slag should be cleaned and treated with rust prevention. Flange connection should be added with temperature-resistant gasket, and bolts should be tightened evenly.

3. Installation, positioning and fixing

According to the layout of the workshop, avoid the equipment console and passage, and the slope is ≥3‰ to facilitate the discharge of condensed water.

Fix them with brackets, with the spacing of ≤3m (horizontal pipe) and ≤2.5m (vertical pipe), and add rubber pads between brackets and pipes to prevent the pipe wall from being scratched.

4. Sealing and anti-corrosion treatment

All joints and welds shall be tested for air tightness to ensure no leakage (qualified standard of pressure test: keep 0.5MPa pressure for 30 minutes without pressure drop).

The external surface of the pipeline can be coated with antirust paint to enhance corrosion protection, and the parts that are easy to contact with acid and alkali environment in the workshop need additional anti-corrosion coating.

5. Adapt to environmental protection equipment

Ventilation pipes should be accurately connected with waste gas treatment equipment (such as activated carbon adsorption device and spray tower), and the interface should be sealed.

The installation of air volume control valve facilitates the adjustment of wind speed according to production conditions, and ensures that the waste gas collection efficiency is more than or equal to 90%.
